well today did not go as planned for miss Addyson. Her xray was not headed in the direction we had hoped. Her flushes will increase. New protocol is one liter in the am and 500cc at night. It looks like she is developing a mega colon 😞 we go back in one Month.
Megacolon is an abnormal dilation of the colon (also called the large intestine). The dilation is often accompanied by a paralysis of the peristaltic movements of the bowel.
Addyson had 30cm of her sigmoid Colo removed in October. Wanted to find a good image to help you visualize where her issue currently is. It appears to be from the transverse to the sigmoid. Her button (cecosotmy) enters at the cecum.
